Have you heard of Mardi Gras?

I hadn't, so I was really excited when Miss Guerra took me to visit another friend in Louisiana. (That's a state that is really far away from Pennsylvania!)

Miss Guerra said that today was Mardi Gras and that that meant that we were going to go see a parade! I had never been to a parade before, so I was really excited to see what it was. People were all dressed up in silly costumes and walked down the street or rode in cars decorated with lots of streamers and glitter. We even got gifts! People would give us fun necklaces to wear so that we could be dressed up too!

    Hi Barry! I've been to New York City before. My mom took me there to see a show called "The Lion King." It was fun and a lot like the movie. New York was really big and loud and is a lot different from where I live. The buildings were all really really tall and there were a lot of cars around.
